I really want to know...

This movie's opening scene was so horrid in any way, that I turned it off, which for me is rare.

Now the first S.W.A.T. movie wasn't very good, maybe average at best. But that was a theatrical release with plenty of good actors in it and at least a few good songs, scenes and performances.

I really want to know if this movie is OFFICIALLY part of the same franchise as the movie S.W.A.T.
