Who just thinks michael peña looks funny playing Cesar Chavez. In the trailers when he's talking, he looks comical. I can't take it seriously
shareHe looks (somewhat) like Chavez, and his acting was great. In the fasting scenes they should have made him look even thinner in the face. My husband had a meeting with him once. He said he was very gentle and soft spoken and kind.
sharePeña was perfect as Cesar, and Jacob Vargas equally so as Richard Chavez. I knew both of them, and worked directly with Richard for a long time. Both actors got their personalities, mannerisms, voices, and even expressions down, so I had no problem seeing them as the two brothers.
