Is this going to be a TV movie or released theatrically?

Just wondering if it's going to be a TV movie like "Walk Out" was, a similar movie that came out several years ago. Or will this have a theatrical release? I've been waiting for a movie on this subject, I think Cesar Chavez doesn't get enough credit for what he contributed.

Also, pretty sad that this forum is practically empty lol, to be expected I guess..

I would like to know, too!

Also, who's playing me in this movie??? :D

It all depends on if they can get a distribution company. But with names like Diego Luna, Michael Pena, and Rosario Dawson to name a few, I'm sure they'd have no problem getting even a limited release. It definitely wouldn't be a made for tv movie.

It'll be theatrically released this year (2013). Participant Media is the theatrical distributor. Not sure if the release will be limited or wide (probably limited, but wide would be wonderful). Participant Media is a great company with a superb track record - they've worked with a lot of big name filmmakers and have released a lot of well-known films, among them AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, SYRIANA, Disneynature's OCEANS, THE HELP, GOOD NIGHT, AND GOOD LUCK., Steven Soderbergh's THE INFORMANT! and CONTAGION, THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL, and more recently SNITCH and Steven Spielberg's LINCOLN. CHAVEZ is listed on the "coming soon" page of their website. http://www.participantmedia.com

i totally agree. I am so happy to see the trailer and hope it will be released and gain the support of all people, not just American Mexicans or Hispanics, Minorities.

It's being theatrically released here in the Midwest, so I imagine it's being released all over the nation. It will probably run in art & indie movie theaters and not in the mega-theaters.

I fookin hate regal cinemas.

Limit of the Willing Suspension of Disbelief: directly proportional to its awesomeness.

I just watched it on Netflix. So it is getting some broad exposure now.
