What was the point of Chris Brown being in the movie?

What was the point of him being in the movie? He and Megan Good are like 8 years apart, that was kind of sick to see them in a love scene together even though they're both adults I still consider Chris B as a kid. He barely had any lines...I just don't understand what the point was putting him in the movie. I liked him in "This Christmas" and "Stomp the Yard" and he was ok in "Takers", but I think he should stick to music.

He should stick to male vs female mixed martial arts.

Chris Brown only had about 3 short scenes which lasted about 5 minutes of onscreen time and didn't really anything to the film other than to show what an ass the Alex character was.

Eye candy. To attract a certain demographic. To get his career back on the right focus.

Haven't you heard of a "cameo" appearance? This is when a well regarded or popular person makes an appearance in a movie.

Here are some examples:

Frank Zappa in the movie Head
Alan Keyes -Borat
Stan Lee-The Avengers

This movie was filled with cameos including Kelly Rowland and Morris Chestnut.

These type of appearances make the audience say, "Hey, there is so and so" . It helps create a hyped response and connects the audience to each other.

It also makes people tell fans of that actor(s), that they are in the movie, causing them to go see it! In Executive Decision Steven Seagal was killed in the beginning of the movie. I like cameos, if you are not paying attention you'll miss that actor!

The point was to get Chris Brown fans to buy tickets.
