What The Hell Did I Just Watch?

WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?! Thanksgiving is Now A Celebration Of Pizza?! WTH!? I love pizza don't get me wrong but seriously? I did not know how to feel about this movie. I was shocked at what I had just seen. Its not awful. But I am speechless of how random and dumb this movie was.

>random and dumb

That is probably the other side of looking at why I liked it - bizarre and random just like a lot of stupid cultural things humans fervently believe in. Equal opportunity mockery, however. It certainly was not politically correct! I doubt a native or Mexican person would be comfortable with the depiction of the turkey tribe. (A couple of them appeared to have Mexican accents, the two little funny looking ones that got caged in the caravan at one point.) It didn't make fun of any of my cultures/traditions, however, stupid or otherwise.

I'm speaking as a Canadian who isn't of first Nations decent and I did find the cultural appropriation and some what mocking tones of the Turkey tribe to be a bit too much. I mean did they have to allude Amy Poller as part of the tribe when she sounds nothing like a Native? Or what was with the weird way the chief spoke. I mean could they not have featured a First Nations/Native voice actor. Also what was he wearing on his head...
I also should admit I know very little about the history of the first nations people who were from Plymouth rock area.

I was kind of surprised that more people were offended by the Anti Turkey message more so than the questionable cultural portrays.

However I kind of let it go and decided I wasjust
being an overly sensitive Canadian. In Canada we have a vastly different dynamic regarding the First Nations. I grew up in a community with a First Nations band coexisting. Respecting first nations both from a historical and ongoing basis Is extremely important to myself and was something instilled upon me. I don't know if it was just me or because my Province has a huge First Nations population or just Canada in general.

I am not really familiar with First Nations/aboriginals in the USA. So really I don't know whether this is offensive in America or just kinda the norm. Sorry if using first Nations is insulting it's what I was taught to use in terms of being respectful.

And again i say all of this as someone who isn't related to The first nations community personally. Also sorry for typos wrote this from my phone.
