Great show, thoughts on cancellation

How can you tell that a show is good, if it gets cancelled after a couple of seasons. This is a great cop show that isn't just the good guys vs the bad guys. It was great but only complaint is that some of the plot lines work too smoothly, some it is a little predictable. Certainly not cancellable material though.

Great shows that were cancelled and I include Chicago Code in this list:

* Boss
* Life
* Rubicon
* Firefly
* Twin Peaks

and many more ...

Just started watching it again on Netflix,still think it belongs on that list of great shows that failed to get an audience. Not every show can be a hit, but this one certainly deserved to be.

I just started watching this show, currently on e10, and I agree with you, what a great show it was. Somehow I failed to watch it in 2011 and just discovered it accidentally. I love the concept of the show and how refreshing it is to see a female woman top dog. Can't help but to wonder why it failed to get an audience, especially when you see shows like Blue Blood go beyond 1 season.

If this show had been on any network other than Fox, it would have stuck. And it would have just gotten better and better.

Seeing Dick Wolf launch the Chicago Trilogy is nice, but it's also bitter sweet. P.D. is a good show, but the Chicago Code just felt a little more down to earth.

Memphis Raines: I'm a little tired, a little wired, and I think I deserve a little appreciation!

You are probably right. After that last episode, a S2 would have been very interesting.

I watch all of Wolf's dramas and although I like P.D., I do believe had it been given the right day, time, and network, Chicago Code would have gotten the audience. JMHO.
