So why this movie is not so famous and underrated ??

7.8/10 and there you go !!!
I honestly think that this movie is underrated by stupid common Indian mentality.
Reasons :
1) No songs and silly dances

2) No item song/bikini scenes

3) Very few romantic scenes

4) It's Irrfan Khan (one of the most talented actors in Bollywood, but unfortunately, Bollywood is a place for business)

5) No slow motion scenes

6) Action scenes are simple and close to reality. None exaggerated.

7) You need to listen every dialogue. [We prefer movies where we can take timeout for loo breaks/cold drink/popcorn.Even if we miss any part of the movie, it shouldn't matter]

... Maybe more than this... I rated this movie 10/10...
This is the best you can expect from Bollywood.

Indian public like only masala movies....a bakwas movie like grand masti gets 100 crores but a motivational movie like paan singh not even crosses 30 crores.............i.................irfan khan is far better than srk.........but he never gets what he deserves

Its a travesty. I guess the answer lies in the fact that this movie has not been sugar-coated like other biopics. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is also a real life story but the makers tinkered with it to make it commercially viable. Songs, dances and over dramatisation, to an extent was included to make it a semi - masala movie. On the other hand, Pan Singh Tomar does not compromise on the content as well as quality. Timangshu Dhulia made a classic movie without being bothered by the financial returns. You will understand this when you see that Irrfan Khan won the national award for the best actor and Farhan Akhtar won all sorts of popular awards but returned empty handed at the national awards.

I saw Pan Singh Tomar thrice in cinemas but could not watch Bhaag Milkha Bhaag even once on DVD. My patience deserted me in the latter's case.

I'm not following you, I'm looking for you.......... There's a big difference.
