*beep* movie!

This movie sucks for the following reasons (to name a few):

1. Musical: The musicals were ripped from R. Rodriguez and Tarantino's movie: Desperado, Once upon a time in Mexico, Planet Terror, kill bill, etc.

2. Video: The vision mixing was done the same as planet terror/ grind house and inglorious bastards.

3. The Dialogues: Not funny and out of the topic at times.

4. Fight Scenes: Matrix/Desperado.

5. Acting: They look funny actually trying to mix up a real life political issue with a fantasy.

This is a blunder/ insult for any Tarantino's fan.

Rated 3/10: Just because some efforts have been put into the movie to make it work ( i mean: to fool the public).

Cheers Gang!

Right, Your Incomplete in everything.
Before you start writing reviews on movies for your "College Assignment" or whatever the "BEEP" it is.....

The Action is Ripped from Jet Li's Romeo Must Die <-- Majorly, Action scenes etc
The only part which was "Copied from Matrix" was the Neo Dodging Bullets scene.

Inglorious Bastards? No its Inglorious Basterds* LOL Read movie titles sometimes!

I think, Almost everyone have seen The Matrix scene, May be the movie producers thought it was all right!

Listen You DumbTw*t, Stop Writing Reviews with Incomplete Knowledge.

@thelord-cyborg

May be his/her brain wasn't functioning properly after watching this *BEEP*.....A common syndrome among movie lovers after watching a DUMB and WITLESS movie!!!

May I politely suggest that the climax was copied from the movie Sherlock Holmes(Robert D Jr's arena fighting scene containing martial art moves)......the opening scene was ripped from 'THE TRANSPORTER'(door kicking scene)....so MR. ALL KNOWING....have a REALITY CHECK!!!

However, nobody needs to be all-knowing anyway to write a review....especially for a *BEEP* movie like this!!!

@lord-cyborg:

he is speaking from the point of Tarantino. Iam sure the vision mixings and the short sarcastic dialogues, close-up shaky shots were a tradeark of Tarantino. He seems to be knowing a lot more than u by focussing on a single director(which you might seem to have not heard of).

You sure are ignorant to not have realised that there is no new innovstive ideas prevalent in the industry.

Another Ripped scene from THE DARK KNIGHT: Aarbaz khan tied to the hands with guns.

This movie is like a puss squirted over Salman khan's mouth. :)

Atleast Tarantino does not require a '000s million dollars of budget in every movie. Guy Ritchie and Tarantino are two of my favorite directors.

Agree that it's a dreadful movie but hate your elitist attitude.Indians are not dumb,

After years of sitting meditation, few will attain enlightenment, but many will get a wicked rash!

reply

I am not saying Indian are dumb....I am saying Indian Audience who watch such crap are dumb....

reply

Why get personal Vin99? People are free to choose what they watch and like or dislike. If majority of the people who watched the film liked it, well so be it!

reply

Yes that was crap, we also wasted our time and Bandwidth! I think Salman Khan is not taking his films seriously.

reply

wonderful film

reply

hahahaha.....if am nt rong vampires suck grosed 30mil...now i wonder whos dumb...indian audience or american audience...hmmmm....

reply

Ghajni smashed the box office, and Rajneeti was a well earned rest from the usual 3 way love triangle...or what seems to be churned out is crap like I hate Luv Stories and Break ke Baad..which were basically the same damn movie!

reply

the musicals were ripped from "The Departed"....d tune on d guitar when salman enters breaking open d door at d beginning of the film, the background score is lifted directly from the background score of "The Dark Knight"........its a *beep* *beep* action, *beep* acting....
for the departed tune search for "Cops Or Criminals Departed"

And i thought my movies were bad.

reply

I must agree. This movie was an eyesore and rather boring. It appeared to be very contrived.. formulaic.

reply

Such an overdramatic pimple.

"There. There."

I dont get the point Tarantino admits to be "influenced and inspired" (read copy from) by Japanese cinema. Star wars (Lucas) had scenes from Kurosawa movies.. can go on and on.

Copied scenes in Bollywood make me cringe too and spoil my impression of the movie makers but the question is... were you entertained or not at the end of the movie? The songs were awesome and that alone (if i forget the whole movie) made this a winner for me.

reply

YES YES GO AHEAD.....

I think if a SHAHRUKH'S OM SHANTI OM CAN BE A SUPERHIT...WHY CAN'T DABANGG?

Check the stats brother...This movie has broken all the records....ITS A BLOCKBUSTER...

A bunch of "know-it-all" gurus complaining that there's no cheese in the Biryani they've served. There is a genre called the "Masala" genre. Like the name suggests, its a genre that aims PURELY at entertaining people. Kill Bill is a Masala Genre film. Die Hard was a Masala genre film. Wanted was a masala genre film. Desperado and Once upon a time in Mexico / Mumbai are ALL masala genre films.

As for the "ripping it off" bit, Ghajini was a bad rip off. Why? It stole an idea. That's stealing. Bichoo was a rip off. Rip offs are when you steal the basic plot / premise / character structure of a film with OBVIOUS references without giving due credit or acquiring the rights to remake a film legally.

How does shooting a portion of the film Tarantino style make it a rip off?? Its inspiration and isnt it cool? It fits in. Ishqiya's score had a very tarantino-ish feel to it as well. Going by your logic, all Guy Ritchie movies are Tarantino rip offs and so is In Bruges? Tarantino himself is inspired from so many places and films! So what? Inspiration is not = Rip off.

As for the movie Dabangg itself, I love how certain people claim that the moment you enjoy a movie like this, you ought to be stupid and yes, I've read most of your comments. Without sounding derogatory, you people live in a different world altogether. I'm a fan of Kubrick's work and I love Scorsese, Tarantino, Ingmar Bergman, Spielberg, Bhardwaj, Anurag Kashyap, Fellini, Nolan...... but I love masala films too. Big deal?? I'd rather have more respect for a guy who knew what he went in for and then didn't like the movie. Someone who knew it was EXACTLY biryani that was being served but didnt like the biryani, makes sense to me... but most of you arguing over this and complete RETARDS for the reasons you've given.

"Rip off" posts appear in almost every Indian film discussion. Who appointed you and your ilk protectors of the US film industry. The US film industry has huge amounts of money and is quite capable of defending itself against copyright violations, if in fact they actually exist. The fact that they don't means there is neither substantial money lost or they don't think they can make a case.

Thank you buddy, Biccho reminds me of Leon - the Professional. Awesome movie Leon. Just cant forget the scores and the emotions built in that movie. Its an A+ movie.

why do people uphOLd THE devil when they know the definition of itself?

reply

Thank you! These idiots don't seem to understand that you need the right mindset when going into a masala movie. I saw Dabangg and thought it was hilarious. Because I knew going into the movie that it was a leave-your-brains-behind-and-enjoy type of film. Now I generally despise 4-hour long melodramatic musical films that Bollywood loves to churn out, but Dabangg did everything right for a masala film, and is a great example of the genre. Think of Sholay, etc. To date, Dabangg is the only Salman Khan film I've ever enjoyed other than Andaz Apna Apna. Ready, Bodyguard, etc. were all crap... but Dabangg was very well done. Certainly not Oscar-worthy, but very entertaining.

Plus, these idiots don't seem to understand the meaning of the word "homage" either.

reply

you are right !!! i rated it 1 because they do not have a 0 rating !!!

reply

Come on, this movie should be considered a parody and not the real movie, just like 3 idiots or Race. Indian people love parodies, and good movies like Fashion or Kites fail at the box office.

reply

what ever sir...whatever...i can't stand this movie !!!
