Best to play Awakening before Part 2

To anybody whose finished Dragon Age Origins and is looking forward to part 2 coming out, in my opinion it is best to play Awakening before playing part 2. First of all, from what I know you CAN import your powerful advanced character from DAO into Part 2, and if you complete Awakening than your character will be all the more powerful. That and skipping over Awakening will make it so that its just not the same, you will miss out on an important in between part. It would be like watching the movie Twilight and then watching Twilight Eclipse and skipping over New Moon, it just wouldn't work out right and you would miss very important stuff.
