Uhhh...not exactly


I see the effort & applaud it, especially the "letter" at the end. I think the workshop was probably very productive & eye-opening, peeking into the lives of these kids. But...the dialogue was stilted & unrealistic (kids from the Bronx don't talk that way), the conversations somewhat forced too (subjects) & some of the "acting" left something to be desired. Having said that, I could see the kids really working hard to be believable..."real". And that's commendable. Some did show natural ability, which was nice to see. Overall, I respect the intention. It was cinematically "brave" of Gondry to give it a shot.
