Marra clearly hasn't seen any films this year.

There is definitely worse films this year.

This wasn't bad, if you enjoyed End of Days or secret society supernatural films
I felt I was watching Men in Black, but with a more serious suspenseful tone and no distracting comedic tone.

this is quite enjoyable suspense.

I didn't like some of the hyped films but they still had their plus points. This was something I really did not want to see at all but friends motivated me. So I was not in a forgiving mood from the start.

I thought it was pretty rad. Would have liked a better actor than Vin Diesel, but he was sufficient. Like one of the top reviewers said, if you're expecting a horror movie, you'll be disappointed. This is sorta like a better version of 2004's Van Helsing. Not the same, of course, but similar.

I just got home from seeing it. I like these kinds of movies and I like Vin Diesel so I was expecting to enjoy it, but it was much better than I expected.

I felt I was on something upon resuming reality. The film just was one big lump without a decent beginning, middle and end. Mediocre effects, boring dialogue, clunky exposition, and Diesel just did not impress me like in other films. Heck the Rock does this sort of thing a ton better.

Please say your finger simply forgot to put the space between those two words. Please! Say it! Say it, dammit. That HAS to be the reason!

Because the other explanation, is just to foul to accept.

In a future world, with a wonderful hypothetical Orwellian police state in which all the deviants, the subversive, enemies of the state, and other various undesirables are being rounded up and shipped off for "re-education", they will take the "aswell" users too.

At least, those who are native speakers, who should know better.

You never know what he/she meant using word aswell. Maybe he/she thought this was actually terrific or this was so archaic that it demanded archaic way of writing it.

By the way did you mean to say is just TOO foul to accept.

Grammar Nazis are similar like real Nazis, not error-free.

Absolutely - my partner and I won tickets to a preview screening earlier this week and were appalled by the overall horridness of this movie. Vin Diesel is a joke as an actor, and it was hilarious how evident it was that in hiring actors from Fast & The Furious, The Dark Knight, Lord Of The Rings & Game Of Thrones, that he attempted (and so badly failed) at making a hybrid of the four. So sad to see that these actors (Michael Caine!!!) wanted a paycheck so badly! Embarrassing fail - my pick for worst movie of 2015, for sure!

I think it worked overall...I knew nothing about this before seeing it and it is simply a good old-fashioned B-movie. Vin Diesel made it work, having Michael Caine also gave it a lift. Of course, this could have been an Evil Dead sequel easily with Bruce Campbell teaming up with Vin, but I suppose in an alternate universe.

I've seen a lot of movies this year. And this movie is well above the average. It's not great....but Vin Diesel makes it interesting.

Anyone who says this is the worst movie of the year must just be jealous of Vin Diesel or hung-up about something. They clearly aren't thinking logically.

Read my entire post before throwing out weak insults. I can't just go and see movie after movie due to my income and having other interests too.

I just found this an expensive waste of my time. I don't hate diesel, but he's no olivier that's for sure. I note you love terminator genisys.. Not a popular opinion, but one you are equally entitled to.

Hollywood critics tried to destroy Arnold's blockbuster appeal. They are livid at him over his Governorship and the gay-marriage veto.

Genisys was a great movie and still made a boatload of money overseas.
