Well, I gotta say, for me, Daphne looked wayyy more sexy than Velma in this movie, and that in the Mystery Begins for that matter. They really did a good job with Daphne's wardrobe and hairstyle this time around, and well Kate Melton is very pretty.

Although, I still prefer Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne in the first live movie, with those tight, short dresses and those killer boots. HOT!

She didn't. But they do keep making her thinner and thinner. In both the live action movies and the cartoons. Pretty soon she's going to just disappear, being to thin to even see.

I always considered Velma chunky. She's WAY more chunky - in the cartoons - than Daphne.

I always considered Velma normal sized and Daphne thin, like how they were in the film, Cardinelli = average, Gellar = thin

I didn't say fat, I didn't say heavy, I didn't say obese, I said chunky. Daphne is normal, Velma is chunky. In the film, Gellar was very thin, Cardinelli was average.

There's nothing wrong with them making Velma more attractive, it could be showing that pretty girls are also smart. Did anyone notice that between Mystery Begins and Curse of the Lake Monster that Kate Melton(Daphne) gained a little weight and got more curvy. If you look at a picture from the first and compare to this one, there is a difference. Maybe they thought that she should have more curves like this picture.

i think thats because shes still fairly young like 18-19 so that can be expected. Its not that velma is hotter than daphne, but I think the actress that plays velma is just prettier. She sorta has something about her

I thought Kate Melton looked very pretty as Daphne in this new film, and to me she looked more like the character and better than in the previous movie. But to be honest, I thought she looked more slim this time around.

Ironically ppl perhaps had different versions of what they considered a 'HOT Chick'. Sure when the cartoon first came out ~ you had guys going for the Velma types and others going for the Daphne's. Not sure if you are familiar with the whole Veronica/Betty senerio but it's just generalization.

1. Gilligans Island ~ perhaps was the start up for this debate with men liking the Ginger (Rogers) look/Character and others going for the girl next door look in Mary Ann.

2. Archies Comics ~ again half n half between the rich chic Veronica and the down to earth Betty

3. Threes Company ~ brunette vs blonde with Janet and Chrissy

I guess being brunette myself I've favored the dark haired girls most of the time except when it came to the Archie characters. I was big on Veronica just because she was always showcased in stylish clothes (no matter what decade they were in).

Y'all have weird taste. Daphne is WAY hotter. She has a nice bod, nice cheek bones, and she doesn't have a double chin. Further, she is not a butterface. Do you 12 year olds have a fantasy for disney girls? Please explain...
