This is my favorite of the series

And for one simple reason. I love the game controls and point-of-view that this game delivers versus all of the other ones.

I couldn't stand the controls of the other Tomb Raider games. The controls for the earlier games were too much like the controls for the earlier Resident Evil games, where no matter which direction your character was facing, pressing up on the directional pad would always cause the character to walk forward instead of walking in correlation to the gamers point-of-view, which would suggest that if the character is in a hallway and they are facing me, I want that character to walk towards the top of the screen instead of to the bottom of the screen when I press up on the directional pad. But "No", in that situation they would still walk towards the bottom of the screen, and into a zombie instead of running away from them. Uggh! That would get on my nerves.

But there is none of that here. As a matter of fact, for all PS3 games that are sequels to earlier ones that had the same control scheme that I do not like, that problem no longer exist (example: Resident Evil 5). Now when I need to run to the left on the screen, I can actually do so by pressing left on the directional pad, NO MATTER WHICH DIRECTION MY CHARACTER IS FACING.

I very much love the voice acting for Lara on here, too.

"Metroid: Other M" is the best game (PERIOD)!

It is somewhat different. The aspect of the game I like the most is the shooting. With the R3, you can do a complete 180 degree rotation and not have to worry about locking on to an opponet. Very easy and convienient to use.
