Right? The style of filming gave me a headache, and I paused it a couple of times for a minute to re-focus my eyes. Eventually I gave up. If the camera work had been more clear, I probably would have stuck with it.
If you want to disorient your audience with the shaky cam to show that a character is confused, crazy or high, use it sparingly and appropriately. I can think of a couple of movies where a quickly moving, shaky shot moved the narrative along (Ireversible, for example - between the spiraling intro shot and the weird, mechanical music, I was nauseated. but it's one of the most visceral films I have ever seen). However, it is not avant garde or artistic to use it continuously throughout the movie. It's stupid and annoying, and is no substitute for good cinematography.
