Question about Giorgio's death for those who saw it (SPOILERS)

Saw it tonight in theaters. Really loved it(I'm a big fan of Massacre Mafia Style also). It Has some great moments. From the opening titles with Duke quoting Genesis from the Bible ("and then God created man... And *beep* it all up."- classic) to the surreal ending in the church with the candles(done in such a funny 70's way its just unforgettable). It was a nice touch giving the kidnappers biblical names(Paul Luke and Peter). Also pretty funny they gave Italian Renaissance Painter Michelangelo a credit at the beginning for the opening titles.

The biggest laughs came from all of Duke's racist dialogue with the black prostitute(Which is so over the top it probably was intentionally suppose to be funny not just a sign of the times. Then again, movies today are so PC it would be consider tasteless to do that even on purpose in a modern film). The fake mustaches were a riot too and the naked fat chick breaking down the door. The line that really made me laugh was when he said if anything happened to his two friends he'd kill a 100 priest for each to make up for all the Jews that died in WW2.

my question is: After Paul(Duke Mitchell) gets back and his two buddies(Luke and Peter) returned the Pope to the Vatican, he finds out from his girlfriend that his friend is dead(I think Giorgio was his name). And then he goes out and kills those 3 guys(one at the racetrack, one who was with a naked chick, and one at a bar i think) in retaliation for Giorgio's death.

The movie didn't really explain it (I don't think), but was it suppose to be implied that Giorgio's death was due to the 7 murders him and Paul did at the beginning of the film?

I wasn't too sure because I know those were mob guys they hit at the beginning, but Paul was paid $100,000 by the Chicago mob when he got out of jail to whack those guys for them(and the 3 in Vegas even discussed the mob was going to put hits on them before Giorgio shot them).

I'm pretty sure the answer is No, since Giorgio's involvement was only known by Paul(he wanted Chicago to wonder how he did the 7 murders, 4 in Hollywood(his) and 3 in Las Vegas(Giorgio's) simultaneously) and the mob sanctioned it. Probably Giorgio was killed for unknown reasons, but Paul avenged him in the end of the movie.

or maybe I missed a part. Does anyone have an opinion on this?

The mob guys from beginning mention that their plan is to kill Paul, and hopefully get the $100k back. But they add that even if he gets away, it's only $100k. Presumably while hunting for Paul they figure out that Giorgio did it (he was maybe showing money off or talking) and had him killed.
That's just my take on having also seen it last night (Sunshine Theater in NYC).

I'm guessing there was more exposition on this they left out of the third act in favor of the pacing. I vaguely remember them saying that at the beginning, but i need to see it again. I think another that threw me off was he killed 3 guys in retaliation and I thought there was more then 3 at the start. either way, if it was the some of the same guys i guess that would be the right answer. thanks for the reply

Don't forget, I believe parts were either never filmed or lost after filming, so there are certainly sequences missing.
