Anyone else here like it?

I thought it was slow at times but overall a very enjoyable movie. Loved Leo's performance.

I watched it yesterday, and thought it was really nice. Slow at times, but how much action is expected in such a movie? I thought Leonardo did a great job, no idea how J.E. really was but I'm sure they didn't make up his personality, at least not all of it.

I think Leo has done better films to be honest. This one, it wasn't the worst film I've ever seen but it wasn't the greatest either.

However, I did like the bond/romance/whatever you choose to call it between him and Clyde and I did like Naomi Watts in it as well.

So yeah, it had it's good moments but overall, I probably won't watch it again.

I really enjoyed it. Not a perfect film, but there were some memorable scenes which kept running through my mind for a few days afterwards. The film currently has a rating of 7/10 here on IMDB.... I'd say that's about right.

I found this movie to be very informative.
How many people really understood and knew all about the FBI, etc ??

I liked it much better than the ratings would suggest. I can see some of the problems and complaints but in general I found the acting was wonderful and the story was really interesting, despite being fairly historical. I also thought they played the Clyde story about right. It would be great if we had more documented facts about their private life but one thing that is clear is that they were each others life partner.

I liked the film though it had its flaws. I thought Leo was fabulous, liked the supporting cast though I wish the film had just told the story of the early days of the FBI and done more with Hoover's jealousy of Melvin Purvis. Though I agree the old age make-up, especially Hammer's, was not the best, I personally thought Leo was fabulous as the older Hoover.

The description sounded a little more interesting than the film actually was, but there's nothing especially wrong with it. Yes, the makeup is a bit naff. Deal with it.
If nothing else, it prompted me to spend a few days reading up on more of the actual history depicted. Given that much of the truth behind events shown will probably never be known to the general public, I think the film does okay.

I liked it, but I wish there was more focus on Hoover's political life and his experiences with the FBI, and less about his sexuality. I don't care if he was gay, bi, or asexual! I just wanted to know more about the things that put him in history.

Liked the movie which suprised me....I usually hate anything dicaprio is attached to. And Hoover yes is a slimeball.

Dicaprio has other gems.
You’d be surprised.
