Cancelled?? This is madness!

So sad this show is being cancelled. Virginia and Burt are the sweetest most genuine seeming couple on TV. I think we should petition on change.org.

They moved it around too much. I was afraid of that.

I was sad to hear it is being cancelled :( It is such a sweet and funny show

I'm not really surprised, the ratings are probably terrible and the show kind of tapered off from being about a single dad raising a serial killer's child to them focusing more on the life of the parents (Burt & Virginia).

I will miss it like crazy, but in a way I'm glad they didn't beat this show into the ground like they do with other T.V. shows that run for damn near ten years.

Well, just four more episodes and it will be gone forever (unless another network picks it up). It probably won't even get a proper ending anyhow.

I wanted to see Hope grow up and go to college, Mama die and the grocery guy get fat. I loved this show!

I am going to miss this show! It was always good for a laugh! I feel like if Fox hadn't moved it to Friday night, their target audience for the show(young adults) may have been able to watch. Most young adults I know aren't at home Friday waiting for their show to come on. Oh well, I hear they at least had prepared for the sendoff so they finale is supposed to wrap everything up amazingly well!

It wasn't only the move. Season 4 was just not as good. I enjoyed it but I just wasn't screaming out laughing several times every episode like season 1 thru 3. Maybe in the last episode they will finally let that cute kid say more than 2 words.

I hate it when series end on a cliffhanger. Networks should be required to notify producers and writers of a cancellation in time to make a proper finale. Either that or make one long episode the next season to wrap everything up. I was so mad at Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior being cut after a half season and ended with the screen going dark and a gunshot.

Best finale of all time: Newhart (Vermont Years). Couldn't stop laughing. You have to be an old fart like me that saw his previous series to catch the joke.

Worst: Sopranos. Had me scrambling to find the remote for my satellite because I thought the cat sat on it and turned it off again.

The move to the Friday graveyard means it will soon be cancelled. So sad.

So mad!!!!! I loved this show. I wish it could be picked up by another network.

It was good while it lasted. Goodbye Mawmaw!

The problem is the show's creator left to go to NBC. He must have been the reason the first 3 seasons were so great. Seems like season 4 is weak by comparison. Still better than a lot of other sitcoms. One of the great things about this show was no laugh track. Even the best comedies aren't funny every third line but at least you don't notice it as much when at least part of the time you are laughing with it. Season 1 thru 3 had several screamers every episode. The time slot change pretty much doomed it. Might have survived if it was still as good.

It appears that he left and was replaced:

And his new show is nowhere near as good as this was in its glory days, and of course lightyears worse than "Earl." "The Millers" is just a standard, crass network sitcom that wastes lots of talent (and my time, as I watched too many episodes waiting for it to get better). It's hard to believe it's from the same mind that created the first two.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
