Liberal Trash

I love that Chan's character is mad at the IRA because they killed civilians even though he fought in Vietnam with the US. But wait according to the producers of the movie the US apparently NEVER EVER killed Vietnamese civilians. LOL
Oh and apparently China helped the US during the Vietnam War

The rest of the movie is nonsensical and despicable trash. Using the occupation of a part of Ireland and what it comports as a backdrop for a stupid karate movie is just wrong.

BONUS the black good guy against the eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil white guys in a story set in Europe. Double LOL

reply

Did you even watch the movie. He wasn't mad at the IRA over killed civilians. He was mad caused the IRA killed his daughter.
It wasn't the "black guy" against evil white men. It was the whole police force against terrorist.

Ehh, I hate SJWs more than anyone on the face of this planet (and duly believe they need to be removed from society permanently) but this film was not Liberal Progressive trash, otherwise known as an SJW propaganda film.

Yes, there was a black guy leading the intelligence committee tracking down the bombers, but there were plenty of white officers, servicemen, and even a white director over the operation that unfolded at the end. That's not to mention that two white London police officers saved the day by disposing of the bomb, and all the loose ends that made the IRA look bad were cleaned up by the white Irish Ranger, or the nephew to Brosnan's character.

Yes, there was some diversity hires in the film, but I wouldn't throw out the baby with the pram on this one. The Foreigner was a very intelligent, well-paced, political espionage film the likes of which we don't get too often.

"Yes, there was some diversity hires in the film"

THEY ARE JUST PEOPLE.

reply

Sorry to burst your bubble, but when the first thing that comes to my mind when I see certain characters appear on-screen as certain roles in demographic locations where they're a stark minority, is "diversity hire", then the casting director failed.

If they were "just people" they would reflect the demographic standing of each district, and most people wouldn't bat an eye. When the color of the cast becomes standout, then it means that they're trying to match a quota, hence the term "diversity hire".

reply

LOL...YOU DONT GET IT...MAYBE ONE DAY...IF YOU CAN LEARN TO SEE PAST COLOR.🙂

reply

Nah, I get it just fine.

When Hollywood stops casting to meet diversity quotas, everyone will be able to see past color.

reply

LMAO...MMKAY.
