Suck-a-roo
Started out good..had potential & ended up stinking up the joint..slow, boring, dumb..and crummy acting. In other words..a typical Sci Fi Channel movie
sharei have to admit it did start out really good but the ending was "mehhh"

Yeah. It had great potential until the point where the gal with lipstick, mascara and eyeliner showed up. Then it sank in the SyFy sea of mediocrity. Oh well. It was worth a shot.

The girl with the makeup was the heir to the leader. Such people have always had access to cleanliness and luxury even if all the others around them live in squallor. There were several actors in this who looked like they were very carefully made up to look like they were scruffy as savage living conditions would cause. If actors in a movie looking too pretty ruin movies for you, well, I have no sarcastic thing to say here, it is just a shame. I was almost shocked senseless by how good this was. As we all know SyFy movies are usually slapped together sadnesses, starring C. Thomas Howell and/or one hit wonder chicks from the 80s, but this was pretty well done. I like the fact that independant movie makers will often do stories and things that mainstream greedia will not. This movie was glitchy, but I liked it much better than Inception, which was dull, slow, self important and in my experience not all that original. Could have been better, and the science behind the yellow powder was sketchy but all in all not a bad time.

I thought the film has indeed a little bit better than the usual Sy-Fi drivel, not outstanding but watchable and enjoyable.
I didn't mind Inception, to be honest, but yes - Donnie Darko - seriously one of the most over-rated films ever, I thought it both sucked and blowed at the same time!

I really enjoyed the film; I don't think it was a suck-a-roo at all.

shareI disagree. I enjoy many of Syfy's movies. For instance, Goblin, Behemoth, Eye of the Beast, Flu Birds, Scream of the Banshee, From Within, Sasquatch Mountain, Sasquatch Hunters, Ogre, It Waits, The Lost Future and Iron Invader, to name a bunch.
shareNow, "Mega-cleavage vs. Skelatroid" and other such syfy disasters? That's a different story.
I just re-watched the film and I think it's great in so many ways (see my review for details). Instead of "Suck-a-roo" your post should read "Suck-a-you"
