Dog's death

It's funny how there are many people here that can't get over the death of the dog in the movie but they completely ignore all the dead people in it.

reply

same thing occured when the cat in The Girl with the dragon tattoo was killed.

reply

It was upsetting when the cat was killed because the cat was a harmless pet that was killed for spite.

reply

cats aren't harmless, they cary deseases like aids and hiv.

Best you don't have sex with a cat then!

Gives a whole new meaning to getting some pussy!

Cats DO NOT carry or spread HIV or Human Immunodeficiency Virus. A small percentage of cats, mostly feral, carry FIV - Feline Immunodeficiency Virus - a viral disease which is not contagious to humans but causes FELINE AIDS which is an acquired immunological dysfunction that can only be spread from one cat to another. A bite from a cat is no more dangerous than a bite from most other land mammals. Bites from another human being are actually more dangerous than cat bites. The threat is always bacterial infection of the wound. If a cat with feline AIDS bites you, you do not get AIDS.

Maybe because the dog was innocent??

"This isn't TV, it's real life. Can't you tell the difference?"
"Sure - I just like TV better."

The dog was just doing what he was trained to do. I agree that the best thing to do was kill him, but it is still very unfortunate.

As I said, I agree that killing the dog was his only option.

Together we shall live forever.

reply

Dogs win over people every time for me, they have more standards and loyalty . The dog was doing what it was trained to do .

reply

And the police killed were just doing their job. And the woman that tried to kill Roger was being forced to do so.

reply

Four innocent cops doing their jobs were killed. That's more than the rest of the deaths combined (Lotte, Clas, and Ove).

reply

That dog scene was hilarious...people in the US are just too sensitive. I bet you one hundred bucks that the dog death scenes will be omitted from the American version. The dog wilting on the fork and bouncing around as Roger drove it along the road, too funny. BUt if anyone here ever played with a dog, you would have noticed that the dog was playing. Looked convincing enough. Good real life dog, poor actor dog.

reply

I agree about the wonderfully dark comedic nature of the dog's death!!

reply

I agree. People overreact.

The dog was violent and vicious. If he's trying to bite you to death, you must retaliate in self-defense.

I'm sorry...

Not sure what country you are from but in the US, conservatives are the ones that have a bigger issue with this. Liberals in the US are all for freedom of expression in movies. It's conservatives that try to limit what is acceptable for movies, games, tv.

reply

I hate dogs so it did not bother me.

Better to regret something you did, than something you didn't do!

reply

There's a scene in Seven Psychopaths where they say :

But his rabbit gets away, though, because you can't let the animals die in a movie. Just the women.

reply

I'm sure viewers are clever enough to realise that no dogs were harmed in the making of the film. Therefore, it doesn't matter that the CHARACTER of the dog is killed in film. Same with the people - it's their characters that are dead, not the actual actors.

Therefore it's not an issue at all in a work of fiction.

reply

People can get quite obsessive with animals, especially dogs. They get really bothered and angry when a dog dies in a movie. Even ones trained to attack like this one. There are bad dogs out there but there's also an equal ratio of bad humans. But no one feels sorry for bad humans who die in movies.

reply

Typical Bleeding Heart Liberal Hollywood: They care more about animals than they do about people.

As a matter of fact, that's a quote from Gordon Gekko in "Wall Street".

reply

haha thats actually true. A person like that dosnt care for example if another person gets abused as long as its not an animal.
