This had potential


I haven't read the book, and just found this and watched it without any expectations.

I realise it's aimed at a younger audience (I'm 20). I like the premise and the villain (no, I actually didn't suspect him...), but he becomes a bit too cartoonishly evil. I think this should have been darker, more adult and suspenseful. It's a decent story concept, so it feels a bit wasted on the childish execution.
