Why did they even call this Avalon High?

They completely changed the plot line. They even changed some of the characters' names, including the main character!!

The thing that really upsets me is that now no one else will attempt to make a proper movie version of this book, since the rights to the book now belong to Disney and it's already "been done." Ugh, it's Ella Enchanted all over again...

Seriously.
This movie wasn't like the freakin' book...
the only things similiar are character names, some of the events, and the places.
Hell! Disney just screwed this up...
badly.
Allie.
Allie...?
How hard is it to give someone a NAME?
I mean, I would be able to understand it if they weren't able to shoot a certain scene because it would have been really difficult to get to the exact filming location... but they couldn't have given her the name ELLIE? That's not even hard!

They sucked at attempting to bring the book to "life" because well, it left a lot of people with jaws dropped, thinking "WTF was that?!"
(I was one of 'em...)

reply

I know! It was awful, they should just had made it something else.

reply

Yeah. Elle/Allie, Mr. Morton/Moore, and Miles didn't even exist in the book.

I am speaking as someone who didn't t read the book but I got what they were doing. Each of the main characters was meant to represent someone from the original story.
Allie Pennington=Arthur Pendragon
Will Wagner= (They wanted you to think he was Arthur and had he been Jen would be Guenivere but since he wasn't I think he was Guenivere to Allie's Arthur
Jen= Guenivere Leondegrantes
Lance Benwick= Lancelot
Marco= Mordrid I guess but he wasn't a bad guy
Miles= Merlin
Mr. Moore=The black knight
