Cancelled or Hiatus?

I read on the 'net today that Rules of Engagement, will follow "The Big Bang Theory" on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET starting Feb. 24. It's replacing "(Bleep) My Dad Says" with William Shatner, which will wrap for the season. Too bad I really like this show. This alwauys means a show is cancelled. Does anyone have any info as to whether "Bleep" will come back or not. I wish it would. I can't believe Rules of Engagement is still on the air let alone aznyoen watching it.

actually it's episode order is 18, since CBS ordered 5 additional episodes back in October.

This is really disappointing. The first few episodes were awful, but it's actually been really funny since. I've become a big fan of Vince.

Many new shows start with a 13-episode first season.

Also, it just won a "People's Award" and has good ratings. Why would it be canceled? Just because it's mediocre? Networks have never done that. ;=)

reply

Why would it be cancelled? Because it's CBS' lowest rated comedy show and that's what CBS tends to do each year to make room for new pilots.

Last year, CBS couldn't decide between Accidentally On Purpose, Gary Unmarried and New Adventures Of Old Christine, so they cancelled all three.

CBS got rid of a show a few years ago, "The Class", that I'm pretty sure won the People's Choice award.. Good show, too. I'm sorry to say, but much better than this. That was before CBS decided to have a second night a week of sitcoms. I bet they are kicking themselves now.

I wasn't surprised of it's cancellation after one season. It was a terrible and unfunny sitcom.

FOX gives up on shows. CBS murders them with their terrible laughtrack and writing.

And not I do not laugh at Big Bang THeory or Obesia McCarthy's show. It's all god awful CBS yuppie abortions.
