The Niece

OK, so I get it. The guy's daughter is dying because she's in kidney failure, and family members have the potential to be a match for each other. However, did I miss something? How did he KNOW his niece would be a match for his daughter? Did he have her tested before or after the kidnapping? Or was he just going to take the kidney and hope for the best? Sorry if this was in fact covered in the movie, but I haven't seen anything showing she was a for sure match.

I think when you see him jumping the backyard fence (niece'S house) he is getting a DNA sample to take to the shady doctor to test for a match.

When he had her tied up in the cabin, he took a blood sample from her and then brought it to the doctor to test for a match. Still, that leaves the question of what he planned to do if she turned out NOT to be a match.
