what a massive disappointment, ridiculous shaky cam

I have been waiting for this for ages now, finally got to see it and i wouldnt recommend this, purely based on the camera work, it is awful, the worst shaky cam i have ever seen and not only that the camera man is hitting the zoom in and out all the time as well, this film has so much potential and could have stood out but the camera work really is shocking, especially in the dark scenes (of which there are many) making it near impossible to focus on anything or even get invested in the film because it is so off putting, and if you are a scott adkins fan like myself you will be very dissapointed. all in all if you can stand shaky cam (i think this will test even hardened bourne film fans) then go for it, the film has some little quirks and tries to be different but is just overshadowed by the camera work,

dappadand, i agree WORD.FOR.WORD 10000%. i've been excited for this movie since i first heard about it (the 20 years ago it was finished being made!) but the shaky cam/zooming in & out camera work made what would have been a cool, interesting and fun zombie flick completely unwatchable. i'm a huge BOURNE fan and i have no problem with the camera work in those films (so i'm not a lightweight when it comes to shaky cam movies. lol) but RE-KILL completely over-abuses it.

yeah such a shame, did nobody think to mention when they were editing or even when they were filming and watching each scene back after a take to mention the awful camera work,thought we finally had a new zombie film but i guess not. when will film makers learn that shaking the camera is the one thing you dont do when filming, i know that and im not film maker. it just common sense, all it does is piss off the viewers because they cant see whats going on.

People seem to usually do the stupid shaky cam thing when they have rubbish effects
atleast thats the impression i got, i couldnt last more than ten minutes because of the cam

Maybe they pushed the release off for years hoping to find a cure for shaky cam.

I did hear Michael J Fox having been a famed actor, wanted to work behind the camera.

I agree as well. I finally watched it last night and love the AFTER DARK HORROR films...well...the idea was great, but poorly executed. Thanks for the 110% correct post.

shaky cam i can handle 50% of the time. what made this movie unbearable for me is the damn editing. You cant have 100 camera cuts in one minute and expect to have a watchable movie. When that first scene started I literally had to look away from the tv. it was nauseating. My favorite part of the movie was the ocmmercials.

Yeah, I liked the commercials too..The storyline was interesting also, but those are the only two good things I have to say about it.
