Re-Kill's Release-Date Mess... Similarly Situated Films?

It's been several years since we all heard about this film. Then there was the five-minute preview, which only made us hunger even more for Re-Kill. Now it's being put off till at least September 2013 (maybe even early 2014) ?

Sigh.

In a somewhat similar fashion, my favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut, and I read somewhere about Jerry Garcia having the film rights to Sirens of Titan. He wrote a script, and suffered ten years of pre-production heck before dying in 1995. The rights to the book have subsequently been passed to two others without any sort of success. However, I stumbled upon an amazing fan-made teaser/trailer a couple years ago.

Nonetheless, the question remains, will the public-at-large ever see Re-Kill?
I have my doubts...

Gallowwalkers is online and unfortunately it's terrible. i was looking forward to that movie and i can say that IMO it's pretty bad.

reply

I wish I could disagree with you on that one, but yeah, it's pretty horrible and boring. The trailer looked so awesome though.

reply

Re-Kill still not released. Set for 2015.

reply

STILL not out?!?

Geez!

Do the people that distribute this just not want to make any money?

reply

Evidently not.

I have to admit that Id never heard of this film,or that it went through a lengthy process just to finally get released for viewing.Id merely happen to come across this film,&Im surprised to see that it wasnt as well-liked as expected, nor did it end up rated better TBH/To Be Honest. But I know everyone has their own opinions of course :)!! Being like the 1st film"The Purge"&its sequels, that Id been lucky to stumble across them as well, that Id really enjoyed, along w/this film that I found to be pretty good too, even if its not quite as good as"The Purge"movies,I do recommend giving this a try!!(Comparatively I have ta say,the reason why I found that I liked Re-Kill,plus brought up The Purge films is that w/Re-Kill does admittedly kinda come off cheesy, but is about an approved"TV Show"film crew thats broadcasting to viewers of killing off virus-changed people/zombies that get in their safe zones.Whereas w/The Purge films, its a yearly approved 12hours on a night that allows people to kill anyone however they want up until the alarm sounds the times up,&Any further killing is then considered a legal murder...)i do recommend at least giving this film a chance,&try watching it,I do hope others enjoy it as well!! Especially when you consider the fact there's So many badly done films IMO that are worse than the typically tolerable B- Movies! Now,IMO,its harder to tell if your gonna end up w/a movie thats not only So poorly done in comparison, but also done by what seems to be by whats now, also So many"Film-Makers"!!....just sayin'

Similar will Cabin In The Woods, where it was sat on for 2-3 years by a studio because they couldn't conceive of a market for it (Morons, one of the best modern horror movies).

Doubt Re-Kill will be as good but I've been waiting for it for years. If I remember correctly it was part of the After Dark Horrorfest 8 Films to Die For series, the same year as Mulberry Street and Zombies of Mass Destruction.
