So gravity is really The Force

Anybody notice when he speaks about gravity having an influence across the solar system in e4, he describes it as something that

"surrounds us, penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together"

and then he has for a split second a very peculiar look on his face. Not sure if he's wondering whether the joke works or just why he had to say the line in the first place... but it put a smile on my face!

I see the similarity that you mean, although I don't really see the 'meaningful' look on his face that you are describing.

The similarity with Star Wars is funny I agree, and it think it's not at all impossible that Brian Cox would be a Star Wars fan, but it could as well be a coincidence. It's just words from the English language after all. In any case I'm really not sure he meant it as a reference.
