This movie was was slow and so stupid.
It wasn't scary and it didn't make you think other than why you wasted some of your life watching this.
I hate myself a little bit for thinking this had a chance.
Well, I and much of IMDB hate you and your kind more than a little for thinking that your post, the quintessence of the insipid, pointless, slow-witted, and entitled IMDB commentator, even deserved to have been made.

Yet you, with your jejune post that marks you as a complete dolt with nothing of value to say, you somehow think of yourself as an absolute authority re ratings and movies?
Just vote and shut up! Come here to discuss movie-related matters or offer a substantiated opinion.
Otherwise, we're sick and tired of having to wade through way too much crap on these boards just to get to anything of real value and/or interest.

Thank you for the insightful post. Makes me smile that I was able to annoy you. Movies on imdb that are rated 5-6 are essentially 3-4 To me. People like to inflate their ratings for some reason but this movie is not even average, therefore, deserves less than a 5. There's evidence of this inflated rating over and over

Me, I firmly believe that this film deserves a 7 or 8.
Do the math! At 5.8, that rating pretty well reflects the overall opinion represented by people with your general type of tastes--which, I assume, gravitates towards the 'plot-driven'--and by those with my general type of tastes (which leans more towards art-house), as well as all those in between or at either extreme who found the film to be middle of the road.
But wait!
I'm willing to bet that I'm at least 5 times more educated than you, and far wiser, too.
Does that make me the winner or grant me some special adjustment privileges over ratings that supersedes yours?

So there's absolutely no point in my coming here and dictating, "You got it all wrong people! This movie is really a 7.5!", is there? Especially since you contribute no analysis or supporting arguments. Nothing.

And yes, there are issues with the rating method IMDB employs but yours is just a very lame justification since that "inflate" remark is sufficient proof that you have no real knowledge re data and statistics.
I come across countless dozens of posts like yours which I just shrug off, but, once in a while, giving you guys my 2-cents is cathartic.
