amazing movie......thoroughly enjoyed
I cant stop gushing about how much i liked this movie. Real situations, life-like characters, definitely khaalis lingo/expressions and an honest story!! Wow this movie incredibly scores on all grounds for a rom-com. The humour is crisp and funny....the dialogues fresh and not cliched, the characters could be "ACTUALLY' the girl or boy living next door in by-lanes of delhi near you......whoever calls this movie 'predicable' has not seen 100 flop rom-coms of bollywood for sure. The story gets predictable at some point agreed, but the treatment is so surprising and fresh, you dont see it coming. My best picks in freshness:
- Shruti confronts Bittoo few days after their biggest wedding. I was shocked to see how realistic Anushka's acting was. I have seen many confronting scenes like this but they have amazingly similar dialogues and expressions. This one was most different and relatable
- Bittoo's proposal. I was shocked there was no cliched "i love you" as Bittoo is no convent student but the next door saharanpuria launda. His choice of words was different and more like what a common person would say
- The kiss scene was the highlight!! Never seen such absorbing kiss in a bollywood movie before. Very fresh
- The lingo was too much like Delhi/U.P.
- Bittoo does not dump Shruti, instead he acknowledges her role in his life seriously. I expected the cliche where hero dismisses heroine to get away from commitment. Instead, its Shruti who feels vulnerable and splits.
These are my favorite moments from the film
