I'm very Sorry but.................. ........

The wife was stupid as all out hell and very gullible and blind to the truth. Now before you all get defensive and harsh we all have probably been with partners that at some point lied to us about something and we all have used our instincts and gut feeling beofre to warn us that somehting isn't right. You can't tell me or convince me that in 12 years she didn't stop to think once or twice that she might not be married to a Rockefeller? If I was married to someone who claimed to be descended from them I wouldn't even think of commuting to work nonetehless working for 7o hours a week and he's at home and in charge of all the finances. Come on now. She gets not one ounce of symapthy I know I wasn't in her shoes on anything but she had no backbone whatsoever and if she did she would've got a background check before she said I do

I would have walked away from him during the party. He was so smug and annoying. I can't believe she actually fell for this guy.

Regarding the finances - 12 years?!! Paying the bills by yourself gets old really quick. I don't know what her deal was/is.

Churn it ! Churn the butter!!

It's not a competiton. He told her during first meeting at party. Well Clark if it wasn't a competion then stop trying to top everything she says.

I don't have a problem with Clark raising the child while. Sandy worked. Mothers aren't always the best caregivers. I do have a problem with the fact that he was living outside their means and he just wouldn't move making her commute 3 hours.

I apologize for grammatical errors- a side effect of IMDbing on my iPhone.

It always took him about 2 seconds to make her think she was the wrong one in the argument. And the fact that he pretty much emotionally abused her every step of the way. The sex must have been good because he wasn't THAT charming.

Don't these celebrities know that dying is not a good career move?

reply

Yeah I noticed that too she's making all the money and she lets him belittle her and make her feel like she is in the wrong because she's not happy I want to know how he talked her into even commuting 2 hours to work and then working 70 hours a week and then he stays at home with Snooks and teaches her yeah he's a keeper alright and yeah he really wasn't charming whatsoever

Face it the woman believed what she wanted to believe and deluded herself over the rest. She just wanted to believe she was beautiful enough/special enough/talented enough to marry a rockefeller. If she liked bragging about going to harvard as much as the character did than being married to a rockefeller must have had some cache. I just feel sorry for the kid.

reply

I agree with you. She liked what came with the name. I would bet she questioned things more than once. But she liked what came with marriage to a "Rockafeller".

If she did, in fact, have anything figured out prior to their split, she was very afraid of the financial ramifications from busting him out.

If you're not responding to me, "reply" to the post you're responding to. kthanks.

Sorry but i think your mistaken...
The first thing is this was a film writen to portray him in as bad a light as possible(deservedly perhaps) by the winning side, nothing you saw in it would be that accurate also as he had been a successful conman for many years he would have been very good at selling the lie to his victims and the truth is once you believe the lie your really less unlikely question the con ...

{and seriously he`s charmed her into believing he`s a Rockerfella so she should have had a background check done ...not very unlikely)

I'm convinced that real-life Sandra Boss *knew* that he was fake. Come on, high-income yuppie couples at least *consider* the possibility of traveling abroad, which "Clark" couldn't do because he didn't have a passport. Huge red flag, and that's only one example of the many things that must have been missing (like his family).

She did benefit from the con too: having the Rockefeller name surely must have helped her career along; she went up the ranks at McKenzie way too fast. Clients must have been delighted to be served by a Rockefeller.

She must have known something was rotten, but said nothing b/c it served her ego. And her lucrative career. So, no, I don't feel sorry for her either. She knew what was going on.
