Too many interviews.

I was hoping for more documentation on the recordings they did at nellcote, but what I got was a load of interviews from other musicians talking about what Exile means to them. Thoroughly disappointed.

Yeah I could have done without the non-Stones interviews. Maybe a little from a producer/engineer/guitar tech... but I don't care what those people had to say. I actually skipped forward and was pissed to see how much of the movie was wasted on them.

I wanted to hear more about Nellcote, but obviously Jagger didn't!

Then it was all the Stones. I thought they did go into a fair amount of detail about the recording. Of course, they're not going to get ultra-technical because this doc is for a general audience. I LOVED the DVD extras where Mick 'n Charlie visited Stargroves and Olympic Studios. Smashing.

Back to the interviews: I could understand talking to Jack White, Sheryl Crow, Don Was and Martin Scorcese, but Benicio del Toro?! WTF? And he had nothing more insightful to say than, "The Stones, man... whew. It doesn't get any better."

So apparently what I watched online was not the right thing. I have found the proper documentation on netflix
