another time filler

Yet another Japanese show with 15min of actual show time per 30min episode. Take whatever the season total min are and cut it in half before you buy this one. And shame on you Japan. You used to be about the quality. Now its all about reusing animation and cheesy cut away shots for commercial breaks. One day soon there will be no difference between western and eastern anime. And then you can keep your trash. No one will be buying anything at that point. Might as well watch it for free from some hack site.

I think it's a good show.

LOL Trolls they always say the " English voices were stupid " they kill me with that. I think they did a good job, if you prefer to read anime instead of watching it then enjoy what you do, everybody doesn't have to watch it that way just because you think it's better.

^ I never said EVERY English dub is bad just this one specifically. I loved the english voices for the DB franchise,Bleach,Naruto,Cowboy Bebop and Ruroni Kenshin just to name a few. The only English voice that didn't annoy me in Kekkaishi was Tokine's voice. Doesnt make me a troll.

I really like this show, also. It has a nice mixture of drama and comedy, and I keep tuning in Saturday nights (well, early Sunday morning) at 12:30 am to catch the new episodes. I just wish they would replay older episodes at different times instead of just showing a new episode once a week. Even so, the only episode I haven't seen yet out of the ones that adult swim has aired is the very first episode. I need to look for it online so I can watch it...

I really like this show. I watch it on Adult Swim and they only show the dubbed version. I would like it if for once Adult Swim would air at least ONE anime with subtitles and keep it in Japanese, but I don't think that will ever happen. I'll still keep watching the show on A.S., can't help it, that damn song in the beginning is so catchy, it just stays in your brain and won't leave. I hope they will still continue to show the series after this premiere run. It would really suck if they just stopped showing it because nobody watched it and nobody liked it.

^Agreed! I just wish they'd give us the entire series on DVD already, and not just release them in over-expensive volumes with only 3-4 episodes that no one in their right mind could justify paying 30 bucks a pop for. Then people could decide rather they want to view the sub or the dub, and wouldn't care if AS moved on to another series in that time slot.

But I know that's asking too much.

No, it's annoying enough that 98% of the animes shown on Anime Network on Demand (the only version of anime network we get here) are subtitled. It kills half the appeal to me to have to read the words at the bottom, and my attempts to learn other languages haven't exactly gone well. Some of us actually like hearing things in our native language.

You want subtitled anime? Anime Network on Demand, or buy the DVD and flick it over to japanese with subtitles. Or do what I do, watch it in english, and turn on the subtitles, either to make sure you didn't miss anything (english subtitles) or to see the differences (japanese language subtitles)

And, for those of you wondering what one might "miss", try watching Jurassic park with subtitles on, there's a whole other movie of dialgoue you've never heard (Yes, it's not an anime, and I've never seen another show/movie like that, but the example holds)

I swear, this generation of anime watchers are the most spoiled brats I ever saw.
