Awesome movie

I caught this at the Virginia Film Festival this past weekend with some friends and I have to say we LOVED the movie. It was smart and scary and by the end I definitely had chills. I haven't seen a horror film that really got to me quite like this in a long time. Really thought this film was fantastic. There were a few things in the end that didn't quite add up for me, but it didn't really matter by the end.

Also the cast was great. Marc Singer and Art LaFleur really both shined in their performances as well as the women who played the Susan and Leslie. They both gave me chills. The actors playing Emmy and Jason did a good job as well. And especially the girl who played the mute girl, Rebekah Kennedy. She was incredible and had amazing facial expressions. The acting was really superb all around.

I definitely recommend this movie for anyone who likes this genre.

I hated it. I thought it was awful. The cast was crap. It did gave me a lot of boredom, but definitely not chils. I would recomend this to nobody.

Agreed. This was a solid indie horror flick. 7/10

I agree, this was a great movie. I watch a lot of scary movies so not much scares me much any more, but this movie, it scared me pretty good. Jumped several times. The scariest part was when the son saw his wreck and the girl pinned under the car...he went over to look at her and she had that white, scary face.

this is a really good movie- i love basically anything marc singer is in. i didnt think the acting was bad at all. we try to stay home & order ppv movies on fridays & this was the 1st time we watched a helluva decent horror/psycological ? movie for free. even my boyfriend watched & didnt complain. lol. hey! "ted" was the dumbest movie ever & everyone raved about that crap. "looper" also. pure boo boo. this movie was better than both of those. its actually scary.

It did gave me... .? Hm. You sure master the English language.

it was actually emphasis. for example: yes, i DO think you are out of topic when you talk about english grammar instead of talking about the actual movie the message board is about.

reply

The OP was clearly the filmmaker or his GF. It's a piece of crap and unwatchable, deal with it.

I just watched it, so that's not true.

I disagree, this movie was a nice surprise on Netflix. While not being superb, it's very watchable, better than 95% of the lower budget terror crap that gets dumped on us.

It's like a long episode of Twilight Zone - a long, very good episode.

This movie was terrible! I had to fast forward after giving it a solid 30 mins to build up to something that just never was. Wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

It was a pretty good film.

I thought it was a breath of fresh air for the horror genre. Great indie horror flick.

It was OK. Better than many indie or low-budget horror flicks I've endured on Netflix lately (hard to find anything that doesn't deal with vampires, zombies or insane asylums these days)

It kept my interest to the end, but certainly not chilling, scary or disturbing. Still I have to give it two thumbs up just for not having a bunch of startle-jumps in there trying to get a reaction. I am VERY appreciative of that!

WTG!

My "#3" key is broken so I'm putting one here so i can cut & paste with it.

I also really enjoyed this movie. Listed as horror, though I'd call it more of a psychological thriller.

Only issue I had with the film: Why didn't a single person think to give the mute girl a pen and paper?????

I've read some say that the acting was atrocious and I just can't wrap my head around it. This was a very low independent movie with a solid cast who all showed a great range of emotions through out the movie and were very believable in doing so. They did a solid job. Frankly, the acting made the movie for me.

If some of you truly think the acting was bad, go watch something like Twilight. Now that is non believable wooden acting.

I liked it a lot. Yes, it wasn't perfect, but it had a wonderful concept. I'm wondering if people had an issue with it because they were expecting gratuitous gore and scare tactics.

Why do you care?

It was definitely an entertaining movie, but it felt like it missed something.

Totally agree.

Good movie, it was different not the same old predictable plot. The acting was pretty good from all of the cast except the actress that played Emmy Hays, She was unwatchable and useless.

reply

I thought it was a good popcorn movie. It was a good thriller and a good little treasure find on Netflix. Damn, everyone wants every single low-budget flick to be the Godfather or something. Chill the hell out with that.
