My wife and I loved the original and have watched our DVD many times over the years. If you were a fan of the original how do you rate this sequel? We haven't seen it yet but plan to this weekend.
PLEASE, if you didn't like Zoolander 1 don't comment. I mean really why bother, we understand Zoolander isn't for everyone.

I loved zoolander 1 and it was hilarious!
Zoolander 2 had its moments but does not compare to original. It was mostly cameos. Kiefer Sutherlands was the best tho lol your gonna love it but for the most part it was a drug trip to me without even being on drugs it was "ok" as in better than the anchorman sequel 5.5/10
I honestly feel like I saw a different movie than most people. I loved the sequel. It felt very much like the first one. There were a few scenes that I could have done without, but overall I thought it was great. I would definitely watch it again.
shareIf I give Z1 an 8, I'd give Z2 a 7.5. it was close and there were some really great moments, mostly snickery moments and a few "i wish he hadn't put those in" moments.

It suffers from the sheer fact that it's a sequel. The original's premise was so absurd to begin with, and you end up losing a lot of the humour because it's by definition no longer a novel premise.
I'd give Zoolander a starting score of 7, which moves to 8, again, because of the absurdity and novelty of it. They made a movie about dimwitted male fashion models being involved in an international conspiracy to assassinate world leaders, and it's funny!
Then Zoolander 2, in addition to the premise no longer being original, relied too much on jokes re-written from the first movie. So it starts at 5 for being meh, then loses a point, going to 4, for being too heavily composed of recycled material.
