The kid cannot act, sorry.

His monotonous voice really grates on my nerves!

reply

I thought he was very real and didn't try to overdo it. Its a low-key film. Its not high on dramatics, just understated acting.

I could see a kid who has a addict for a Mother, she may be rolling strange men from time to time. Kyle would be rather sullen. No stable, healthy parental structure. A kind a Marlon Brando, Clint Eastwood,low-key type.

Can you fly this plane?
Surely you can't be serious.
I am serious,and don't call me Shirley

Kudos to the CD for finding the right kids for these roles. They were wonderful. My question is how much is acting and how much is being themselves. Alex and David did a great job. Clair too....

thrallpwnz - do you ever listen to sixteen year old boys? How do you think they generally talk?

reply

My thoughts, exactly. He sounded like any other 16 year old to me and he and the other teens in the film did a great job!

it's not "monotone" it's "monotonous"; monotone can be an adjective if describing colors

You ever stop to think everyone just disagrees with you? That your opinion is in the minority? Not everyone with an opposing viewpoint is a "paid brown noser". Try not investing so much in your own opinion.

The problem might be with society, or it might just be that you're a tool.

Nothing you have to say is anywhere near as useful or important as you think it is.

reply

You're kind of a conspiracy theorist, aren't you?
Also, you're making a massive deal out of something so trivial. There's making mountains out of molehills and then there's this; you made the goddamn Himalayas.

Come to think of it, you almost sound like this really chapped you, like you got burned by this. Did you audition for the role and they overlooked you?

reply

I think he did a good job.
