tear jerker great movie

i thought this movie was great. great story line. 50 did an amazing job acting and he was very dedicated to the part to have lost all that weight and his amaxing body. i cried like a baby. this movie is definently a movie that teaches a lesson and makes you look at things differently. i can relate to the movie. i look at fifty a in a whole different perspective. not the typical rapper/actor movie. two thums up!!

i agree...caught this movie on BET by accident and i couldn't stop watching it... i needed to see the ending..i also related to it because things fell apart in my family too.
50 cent did a terrific job at making me feel sorry for him... really liked this movie and i am dissapointed to see all the hate for it.

Sorry, but this movie sucked balls. 50 Cent is being shoved down our throats and I don't understand why......MILLIONS of black actors that have more acting talent in their pinky. If you're gonna make the crossover, in order for ME to accept you, you've gotta be great (at least as good as Cuba, Brian White, etc,). Not being a hater, just not obsessed with rappers.....if you make $$ in rap, stick with it......we have plenty of actors that actually put in YEARS of training that deserve the parts, not Curtis.

I agree that 50 was not good in this film and clearly he's not a gifted screenwriter either. i also agree there are plenty of actors of color who could have made the most of this role, but i would have to say i think there may be a rarefied few rappers who can command the big screen -- ie Tupac's turn in Gridlock).

50 improved as an actor, the supporting cast was really good too. Although some of acting came off as a little stiff, I really wasn't expecting this movie to be better than it was. I didn't cry but that *beep* was sad
