Many boards have been ruined by trolls swarming all over them like maggots.

Many of them will soon be wandering the streets in broad daylight flushed from their parent's basements.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

Luckily this show was less popular so things stayed pretty much on topic and normally fairly civil, but yes any popular release movie had thousands of posts with almost nothing on topic sometimes. Like I think "Game of Thrones" is 95% off topic posts it's impossible to sift through. But oh well, I guess there's no middle ground between chaos and no boards.

Me too. But I should have seen the writing on the wall when Facebook groups for favorite TV shows ballooned to tens of thousands of members.

I'll probably go join groups devoted to shows whose IMDb boards I used heavily, but it won't be the same. Mostly because you lose your anonymity!

Tragic.
But here it only got that hot on the Mary vs. Edith threads. At our best, we could clarify points for each other, provide interesting links and heads-ups for other sites.

I was able to sign up, no problem. I did not give my correct birthdate so maybe that will help. I did not get an untrusted message. That is all the info that was asked for - birthdate and email.
