It's not just the theme of the movie. If you take into consideration that Danny Trejo, Jeff Fahey and Sony Chiba are all in this movie, I was surprised to see that these two directors were not somehow involved.

shareI think the producers are Rodriguez's nieces which sort of goes back to the casting. I know Biehn is friendly with them from the Grindhouse days (they played the babysitter twins)

Michael Biehn appeared in this movie for free because of her I heard.
I wish she had played the Sushi Girl, even though the actress playing SG was awesome. She kind of reminded a little of the twins. I hope the Sushi Girl actress will be in more movies. RR and QT should definitely hire her. I can imagine QT using her in a movie after seeing this. I know he would like her feet..lol
