Hank's Best Song

For me, I have to say 'I'm so Lonesome I Could Cry'.

" The rug really tied the room together, did it not? "

Very tough question. I know this's a predictable response, but he had so many great songs that picking the one that I consider his best seems almost impossible. Nonetheless, I'm going to give it a try.

For me personally, I think I'm going to have to go with "Your Cheatin' Heart." That's probably the one I listen to most and find myself singing/humming most often.

There'll Be No Teardrops Tonight

It's one of his popular live tunes, but not so much so today. Look it up on youtube - great song. It's about knowing what a b**ch your ex is and not letting it get to you.

There is a loot of gems. I like Lonesome Whistle, and You Win Agoon.

Lonesome is a great song, but as far as best, I can't say. They're all the best. But for me the most important song is "Move It On Over" because as a kid growing up in Massachusetts I never listened to country music (or as Sleepy LaBeef would have you know Hank's music as "hillbilly rock 'n' roll") and I thought it was written by George Thorogood, as his version was a big hit in the '70's. When I finally heard Hank's original version it blew my mind and I was a huge fan from then on.
