Really? Owen Wilson as writer...

First, let me be clear that this is better than Alan's usual neurotic, overtalkitive movies, but I still have to laugh at the idea of Owen Wilson as an writer, even a middling one... 😂

reply

I thought this was written by Woody Alan?

reply

Owen plays a writer... I should have said "a writer" in the thread title...

reply

No you moron he is talking about you refering to Allen as Alan

reply

Is meant to be ironic? Owen Wilson has been nominated for Academy Awards for writing.

reply

Yeah, he helped write some of the best Wes Anderson films and has said he'd rather be writing than acting.

reply

I'd like to see more films written by Wilson. I get the impression that he's got a poetic side to him that gets hidden behind the boyish cowpoke and the goofball that he gets cast as. In fact, (cowboy) hats-off to Woody Allen for casting Wilson against type as Gil.

Anything to get that ugly mug and twisted nose off the big screen! ;-)
