not good to say youre american or british tourist many restaurants

Overseas

Look it has nothibg to do with politics. America is a great nation. Many opportunities. And Britian...well youre Americas little b itch. Hey but you had your days of glory subjugating your colonies...anyway back to the lecture at hand

Its just thr tourists. Vast majority from these countries are obnoxious and over bearing. They think their nations are so great. I guesd when they visit a city that blows away any american city or british city they just cant handle the fact that other nations are coming up in this world or have even surpassed in terms of quality of life.

And people the world over know it. Ive had the privilege of living and working around the globe

If youre americN or british tourist visiting sone restauarnt outside your countroes please just say youre from Sweden or something. I mean who can tell you all look the same... because your food will be messed with :(

This good film really gives a good reason why..

That's why God invented Canadians.

I am Scottish. Living in canada. And Paris treated me well

Why do you care? You seem intent on hating regardless.
I've traveled extensively and was always treated well. Only rudeness I ever encountered was in France, and only in the context of a few salespeople refusing to speak or hear anything but native French. Only time I ever felt the need to hide being an American was when out in public in Cuba, for political reasons. I always respect and appreciate the host citizens and cultures when I travel. You should try it sometime.

Your gross generalizations smack of ignorance and jealousy, which is an ironic hypocrisy on your part. Americans aren't jealous or bitter of any other city.... no one travels to a place because they hate it. Lol.

You sound like quite a pig yourself... you should be careful about being you in any restaurant anywhere.

Unfortunately there are all types in all countries.
I love France and have never had any problems there with the French. They have always been professional and helpful, if not gracious, as well.
Do North Americans from the US present well at all times? No.
But I saw all kinds of behaviors that were not impressive. And they weren't all from the USA.
I know many people from other countries don't care for the USA for various and sundry reasons.
And I know that many people from the USA love to wear the hair shirt and go on their apology tours.
Personally though I have seen ill behavior from a lot of tourists in different countries, and they weren't all from the USA or Britain.
Furthermore, my old violin teacher was from Poland and said that Europeans are some of the most intolerant people she's ever met when it comes to the way people treat each other over there.
People are people. Wherever they come from.

And yet.....many U.S. cities see an influx of tourists around from around the globe- many behaving just as they do from their home countries- and are treated with great hospitality (especially at restaurants). Bad behavior is bad behavior regardless of the context, someone frequenting a business should be treated with respect. In this case U.S. businesses are setting the better example (unparalleled customer service).

Interesting, very interesting ....

When in NYC recently, the waiters & waitresses said that it was the Germans & the French who were the rudest tourists from all the nations tha visit.

I like everybody (pretty much), so it's interesting to hear things like that from the people at the sharp end of the customer stick.
