Best Things Happen AFTER Midnight, Not During Prom

Maybe I'm going off on an incorrect assumption that all American high schools now have an after party right after the prom. But seriously, why would you expect prom to be awesome? You shell out a whole lot of money for very little fun. My high school had an after party from 12am-6pm, it costed just $25 & we ALL left with full stomachs + (at least) 2 door prizes. I go on & on about how great our after party was with the gym turned into a casino, caricatures on the lawn, bouncy castles in the inside, *sigh*, if I could redo one day of high school, it would def be that night.
