This show is painful to watch.

Friday night has always been a barren wasteland when it comes to decent programming...and this show actually brings the average down.

Bland characters, unoriginal plot complications, and just plain unfunny writing.

NBC has been bringing new comedies to the table and cancelling them almost as quickly over the last several months, and this show has me saying "NEXT!"

Just awful.

Your review is way to gracious.

reply

you left out bad acting, seriousily the delivery makes a highschool play look like Broadway.

Cannot agree more. When they will strop trying so hard? The harder they try to make the jokes happen, the lamer their "comedies" are.

I wanted to like this show. I forced myself to watch an entire 10 minutes, then couldn't take it anymore.

reply

I watched the first five minutes and I thought they cancelled Friday Night Lights for this?? I thought the guy actor was terrible and wasn't that attractive.

reply

i had to stop after 5 minutes as well.

reply

I got to exactly six minutes and had enough. It was incredibly uninteresting.

reply

I thought humor was essential to make it a comedy? This has none and the actors are too generic.

Yeah, how long has this show been on the air? I've never seen a single preview for it, then I was just flipping through channels the other day and I saw this. Saw it was coincidentally titled the same name as a brand new movie and had to see what it was about. I recognize 3 of the actors and am surprised at how terrible the acting was. I mean, they've been in stuff before, why suddenly suck now??? Welllll.....I guess the blonde guy isn't SO bad, he's kinda funny.

And I agree, the storyline is so freakin' tired.

reply

they didn't advertise for it because they're not planning on keeping it on, just burning off the episodes they had already purchased a while back, the lead male has already signed on with another show, though should this show somehow be picked up for another season, which is highly doubtful, FWB has dibs on him and he would have to come back, so I read in an article anyway.

The blond guy is awesome. He was great in Starz' Party Down.
