Does anyone find it kind of odd that they would hint at this in a children's show? I'm not gonna lie, I did think it was a little bit funny, but at the same time it was a little inappropriate too.

Wow, you have a great point. I think because this is a "happy" show, they would never show anything like most of what you listed. I think maybe if it were on disney, they would slightly touch on one of the issues, but not really get very detailed. But the only thing I found inappropriate was that they seemed to make a little bit of a joke out of it. There is nothing funny about that.
