Next episode, Zahi Hawass meets his match!

::In a cave full of bats, Zahi ducks down as one flies over his head::

Zahi: I hate bats!

::Zahi lets out a shout of terror.:

Based on the promo, this next episode should be great.

It was funny he said the bats would kill him. I don't think the bats are going to eat his face off or anything...they are probably scared of humans as much as the humans are scared of them!

Great episode, lack of fellow whining and more history talk...is the show finally turning itself around?

it was funny to hear Zahi scream like a girl when the bats flew by

as for the bats being scared of the humans, I don't know, but they had a right to be upset, the people were invading their home and disturbing them, how were they supposed to react? Plus, I don't know that they were even 'attacking' the people, they were trying to escape, to fly away, but in those narrow passages, they couldn't help but run into the people.

They may not eat your face off, but the rabies the nasty little winged rats carry certainly can. Every case of rabies in humans where I live (Pacific Northwest) came from rabid bats, not raccoons, skunks, squirrels or coyotes.

This is our favorite episode of this (un)reality series. Listening to Dr. Hawass scream like a schoolgirl is worth sitting through all the painful "acting" by the totally clueless and completely unqualified archeological "fellows" that are on the show. My wife and I have watched this episode several times and it is hilarious.

Yes, that was quite an amusing scene. I cut that clip to keep. It was great to see the guy who is so arrogant and aggressive squealing like a little girl. Unfortunately he forgot about it a few episodes later when he berated Alice for being afraid of snakes. Uh, dude, so what if I’m afraid of snakes? You’re afraid of bats!
