Raw yet beautiful

I have to say that my expectations for the Meat Grinder were not high in due to the title. I was hoping to wittness an ordinary asian horror-movie. But Meat Grinder was so much more than that!

Moeithaisong really blew my mind in this one. The filming, the music and the story, everything was beautiful in its own way. The scenes with the soft ballad music while seeing Buss butchering her victims made it clear that this ain't no ordinary film. I actually didn't notice it at first but some of the material in Meat Grinder was kind of comical, yet in a serious way.

And speaking of the colours.. it kept switching back and forth between RGB and BW in a sneaky way while the viewer actually didn't pay much attention to it because he/she had her attention totally focused on the story itself.

I'm not going to name anything about the story itself, that's for you to view yourself. And I really recommend it!

Btw, this was one of the most raw and brutal movies I've ever seen, and yet with a nice story about vengeance and pain in it ;)

Um... Is this the same movie? http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news/topnews.php?id=16075

Because from that review it doesn't sound particularly beautiful at all.

It is indeed the same movie. And I quote from the link:

"Despite the fact that Meat Grinder is beautifully shot, has an interesting storyline and is clearly not filmed just for the gore like many other films, it is definitely brutal throughout and contains some scenes which are particularly excruciating to watch"

That's exactly what I was talking about. Raw, yet beautiful.
