How much sex in this movie?

Are there a lot of sex scenes between J-L Trintignant and E. Riva? If yes, are those scenes hot? After all the movie is called Amour, i.e. Love. Do they actually make it?

reply

No sex scenes. And if you think love is summed by sex then you need to review your conceptions and beliefs.

And if you think that this kind of message should be taken at first degree, then you need to find more cheerful and ironic friends.

Who can blame him/her? Nobody who's seen this film can possibly be left with a shred of humor. Existential angst has won the day. Death awaits...

Sex is part of love.

There is a nude shower scene but I don't think its what he is looking for. Try the internet instead.

WTF????

What kind of question is this? Are you a troll? Do you even know what this movie is about?

reply

Of course, this is absolute, genuine trolling my friend.

The edited version I saw doesn't show the steamy sex I have read a lot about.

where exactly have you read about "steamy sex" in this movie?
Not in a million years, I would expect any sex scene in this particular movie

I have read about it in thousands of articles. Have you seen the unedited version?

reply

yes, I believe so.
I have watched the same version as everyone else here. I tried to find an article that mentioned sex scenes in this movie and I couldn't find any... I Read the Movie's review in the "1001 movies you must see before you die" book again, and Still Nothing.
Honestly, I can't really picture a sex scene in this particular movie, There is only a "nude scene" where Anne's breasts are seen.

This is a sad movie and we all feel sad for the characters, especially if we've experienced or witnessed similar destinies in real life. However, I feel by far more sad for people who can't see a joke and understand humor even if the word humor was written with a meter high capital letters. These people would maybe laugh if they ever forced themselves to watch a comedy, but they would need a command or at least an advice when to start laughing, and still it is questionable if they would manage to do it because they simply don't know how, having no previous experiences.

Loads - it's an unexpurgated, adult breast-fest.

There are no sex scenes per se but there is a bit of nudity and plenty of suggestive moments - touching and caressing, walking around in a night suit etc....then there are the nasty (and persistent) rumours of an on set fling between Trintignant and E.Riva...there's never any smoke without a fire.

Down these mean streets a man must go who is not himself mean..neither tarnished nor afraid..
