I have to imagine that there was some imprint from a Stephan King novel or film. Many times during the film I kept feeling that S.King vibe, I thought certain aspects were similar to The Dream Catcher. Anyone else get that vibe?
My Identity's been stolen,I'm waiting for another one
Actually it has a lot of similarities to Dream Catcher, men losing their grip on themselves & delving into insanity, constantly having memory lapses, transportation problems in the snow, the guy at the beginning bleeding from his nose with his teeth just falling out. The corridor that they encountered in the woods was also a power not of this earth, There was constant nose bleeding, people completely losing grip on things, or grip on themselves. I read The Dream Catcher before watching the very poor adaptation on television, it maybe things from the book that are making them seem alike, who knows

Dreamcatcher was exactly what this movie made me think of, with the similarities in setting and mental distortion/control. However, even the mediocre movie version of Dreamcatcher more or less made sense, whereas The Corridor left me feeling like I missed some crucial bit of information that explained what the corridor was supposed to be.
I am a huge Stephen King book fan and whilst most are good Dreamcatcher is in fact the worst one ever, I actually put the book down for 6 months as it was utter *beep* and only picked it up again as the film was coming out, I wish I hadnt and I also wish I hadnt bothered with that piece of *beep* movie either. Yeah aliens that blast their way out of your ass, just what everyone wants to read/see YAY. The casting was utter balls too, yeah some white general played by Morgan Freeman (so true to the book).
The only was this was like Dreamcatcher: set in snow, people are crazy, UTTER *beep* IN EVERYWAY
I love Stephen King books, my fave is Firestarter which was actually made into a good film with Drew Barrymore, but lets face it quite a few of the King adaptations turn crap on film but Firestarter was awesome, ones I enjoyed:
firestarter carrie cujo christine misery
THIS FILM "THE CORRIDOR" WAS COMPLETE AND UTTER CRAP AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS
sita chez: your list of his good films/books all of which I remember seeing as I grew up in the eighties are all fond memories. What happened to him after that? I read a compilation book with a few stories in it that was like 2000 large pages in the late 90's that was so horrible I don't even remember the title
firestarter-was perfection on film carrie- spawned numerous copycats in the decades after but never quite as good as the original cujo-anyone who can scare the crap out of you with a dog, damn good indeed(wouldn't have made it in today's time) christine-a great film, no complaints there misery: a film I love to hate All great books and great films.
For some reason(my sick hunger for sci-fi horror)I really loved the Dreamcatcher book, but hated the film, idk, to each his own. Nowadays a King book isn't always a sure bet unless it's before or around 1990 imo. Not to say he should be put into the same asylum/sanitarium Tarantino is at(it'll happen just wait, lol)

believe it or not, he quit cocaine, and that's when his books went downhill lol
It seems like that's the case with writer/artists & singers/performers ect. They get clean and they don't even resemble the person they were before they cleaned up. There may be a few exceptions out there, but it's a definite trend.
