Agreed. McTeer OWNED this movie. Much as I admire Glenn Close, it would have been completely stiff without Page.

I couldn't take my eyes off her. She nailed male mannerisms. The scene of Hubert and Albert wearing dresses on the beach reveals how good she is, her manly plodding, arms swaying with sleeves too short. Huge boots on his feet.

She owns the part and is completely convincing.
