Confused and Amused

Haha, rhyming title.

Ahem, I thought it was an excellent movie. Granted, I had no idea what was going on half the time, the majority of it made sense by the end of the movie. ...or at least to some extent.

I thought the acting in this movie was incredible. Seriously, looking at the two twins I thought it was only one actor playing two roles (like Lindsay Lohan in The Parent Trap --and no, I am NOT comparing this movie to The Parent Trap) because the two boys were so identical and equally amazing. In fact, I couldn't tell which one was Seth and which one was Jonah until Jonah started hanging around Eve. I don't know if that was the director's intention or if I'm just clueless, but that's okay. XD

I guess the only thing I never understood was Jonah being a diabetic. I mean, I'm suspecting that he never was and that was just Seth's way of manipulating him (I was wondering why Jonah never gave himself the shot), but I'm still confused, haha.

I could probably ask a bunch of questions and get no answers because the movie doesn't really give them. But in some aspects, it's nice to let the audience draw their own conclusion.

I don't know about you guys, but this is going in my favorite movies list. :3

Ha ha! Jonah is the one with a longer face and he's shorter than Seth. Of course he's more sensitive and responsive than Seth. I agree they gave great performances. So did Orlando Jones. Their personalities and manners of speaking are different, too. Seth is blunt, sarcastic, aloof and snappy. Jonah is the listening type and he's clingy. He asks for assurances from their mother whether he's her favorite, for example.

Jonah as a diabetic - whether it's real is something we won't know. I have an impression this is supposed to tell us Seth is healthier, stronger and dominant than Jonah, who's "weak", sensitive and a follower. Seth is the one with the brain.

I agree!

Just on the subject of diabetes - The treatment for it is an insulin injection which is very very bad for a non-diabetic persona and has been used to murder people. I don't think there is any sign that Jonah did not really have it. when Seth knocks out Jonah this is consistent with an overdose of insulin which causes a lack of blood sugar and can induce unconsciousness or even a coma or death

I suppose I should have already known that, considering my mother is a diabetic, haha...

but also keeping in mind his ability to make Jonah see what he wants him too creates endless possibilities and can answer most questions
